Caroline Joy DeBrovner is a Sociologist. She received her B.A. from Vassar College, M.A. in Sociology from Yale University, and Ph.D. in Sociology from New York University. She is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Pace University. From 2000- 2006 she held the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology at Pace University. An advocate for juvenile justice reform, she collaborated on the book Judging Children as Children: A Proposal For A Juvenile Justice System (2006) by Judge Michael Corriero. Through her use of service-learning courses she places her students as tutors in community-based alternative to incarceration programs for juveniles tried as adults.
